3. Reasons for solder joint offset The solder joint offset is caused by the imbalance of heat dissipation and heat dissipation between the two workpieces during the heating process. The nugget shifts toward the side with greater heat and slower heat dissipation. For example, 1. Overlap spot welding of 2 workpieces with different thicknesses. 2. Spot weld two workpieces of the same thickness but different materials.

1. Use high current for short time to weld 2. Use electrodes of different diameters or materials 3. When using a DC welding machine, the DC produces the Peltier effect, which causes the temperature of the two electrode working surfaces to be different. 4. Add process gaskets to the thin plate layer, usually.2-0.3mm metal gaskets.
