2. Medium carbon steel: carbon content is 0.25%~0.60%
The strength is higher, but the weldability is poor. Commonly used steels are No. 35, 45 and 55.
Welding features: It is easy to produce cold cracks and hot cracks. Due to the high carbon content, the sensitivity to pores increases, so trial welding is required in advance.
3. High carbon steel: carbon content greater than 0. 60% Due to the high carbon content, the welding properties are poor.
Welding features: Cracks are more likely to occur, the welds are fragile, and the strength of the welded joints is reduced.
