Stainless steel spot welding machines and projection welding machines are sometimes very similar, with only 1/100 difference. That is because projection welding is a deformation of spot welding. In many cases, only the electrode welding head is different. If it is replaced with a tapered electrode, it is called a spot welding machine, and if it is replaced with a flat welding head, it can be called a projection welding machine. The biggest change is that several spots are welded together, and the shape of the electrode welding head is obviously different. Spot welding has a tapered electrode head, while projection welding uses a knife-like chrome-zirconium copper bar for welding, which is called knife row projection welding.
